    Home and Living Assessments

Our goal is to improve your quality of life and ensure your home environment supports your independence.

If appropriate, we can support you to apply to the NDIS for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Supported Independent Living (SIL) funding.

These assessments provide valuable information about what the best housing solution for you might be, and what supports you require to live a safe and meaningful life.

    Home Modifications

Our goal is to make your home more accessible, creating a safer environment that makes your everyday life easier.

Home modifications can range from a simple grab rail to help you step into the shower, or a hand-held shower hose, through to larger projects such as modifying your steps, installing a ramp, or modifying your bathroom or kitchen.

All funding bodies have criteria that need to be met, and we will always let you know if we believe they are likely to fund the modifications or not.

    Assistive Technology

An assistive technology assessment sets out to improve your safety, independence and participation in everyday life.

We support you to trial devices in the environment where you use them. That way, we know they will suit your needs before we recommend purchasing them through your funding.

Assistive technology can be low cost, simple devices such as a medication reminder, through to more complex equipment such as wheelchairs, hoists and falls alarms.

Increasing Independence and Safety in Daily Living Tasks

Practical support with cooking, dressing, showering, routines and getting out of the house.

    Functional Capacity Assessments

Our goal is to gather a clear picture of the daily tasks that you manage well and those where you might need assistance.

With your approval, we will collaborate with your family, carers and other professionals to understand your personal situation.

Our reports are written to describe how your physical, cognitive (thinking) or mental health challenges affect your safety and independence.

  • Not sure which of these you need?

Most people are not, and working that out is part of the job. Call 0409 405 017 and describe the day you are having. We will tell you which of these fits, or that none of them do.
